Kaohsiung VR Film Lab Originals

Kaohsiung "VR FILM LAB" Virtual Reality Program was established in 2017 and has received long-term support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Industrial Development Bureau and the Digital Development Department's Digital Content Industry Promotion Office. This year, it has once again launched a grant program with a total amount in the tens of millions and a maximum grant of 3 million NT dollars per project to assist Taiwanese VR image creators in developing their works.

In recent years, Kaohsiung's original VR creations have achieved remarkable results in terms of innovative visual aesthetics, narrative language, and the application of cross-disciplinary creative media. To date, VR FILM LAB has produced over 35 Taiwanese original and international co-produced VR works, which have premiered at the Kaohsiung Film Festival and have been selected for various international film festivals including Venice, Sundance, South by Southwest SXSW, and Paris Festival of New Cinema, establishing itself as a significant global hub for VR image creation.
