曾是當紅藝妓的酒館服務生阿部定，與已婚的老闆石田吉藏有了不倫戀，兩人只要有空檔，常常就近或到偏僻地點幽會。隨著投入情感越深，阿部定對於石田吉藏妻子的存在越是無法忍受。戀情被揭發後，阿部定更是無法接受情夫的身體不單屬於自己。兩人跟著世界一起沉淪，在彼此的歡愉中放縱性本能，奔向死亡。
